From “Less Than” to Enough:

The first time I ever felt less than wasn’t because of anything I did. It wasn’t even my own thought.

It happened one night, sitting in the driveway with my mother. She prayed over me:

“You are the head and not the tail. You are the beginning and not the end.”

At face value, those words sound uplifting. But beneath the surface was a hidden message: that somehow, I was already behind. Already “less than.” Already needing to be fixed or made better.

That night, a seed of comparison and inadequacy was planted—one that I unknowingly carried for years.

The Silent Weight of Comparison

Comparison is one of the most common root causes of feeling unworthy. When someone we love and trust projects their fears or insecurities onto us, it often becomes part of our inner voice.

For me, the belief took root in ways I didn’t realize.

Every degree I earned.

Every certification I collected.

Every new creation I built.

All of it was an attempt to prove that I was enough. That I wasn’t “less than.”

But here’s the truth: those weren’t my words. They weren’t my fears. They weren’t even mine to carry. They were hers.

Recognizing the Projection

One of the most powerful steps in healing is learning to recognize what’s ours to carry—and what’s not.

Looking back now, I can see clearly:

My mother’s prayer wasn’t about me.

It was about her own fears.

I simply inherited them as my own story.

And for years, I let them shape the way I saw myself.

Reclaiming My Worth

The shift came when I finally realized:
✨ I was never “less than.”
✨ My value has never been up for debate.
✨ I don’t need to prove my worth to anyone—not with achievements, not with titles, not with external validation.

Today, I...Read More

Yes or No

I have been tasked with creating videos for www.YourInfiniteHealth.com. Right now I am working on a nutritional educational series with our Director of Patient Experience, Andrea. I've posted the first two episodes in my blog, so check it out.

Anyway, in an effort to hone my very amatuer videography skills, I signed up for a Film and TV Industry Essentials program with NYU/Tisch

My second assignment was to create a storyboard for a music video. It's been quite a while since I've drawn anything worthwhile and drawing out three minutes worth of concept images was quite daunting. I eventually decided to source stock video from StoryBlocks.com to at least provide me some tangible reference and then attemted to sketch those images out.

For your amusement, the result is below. Hands and faces are my artistic achilles heel, so nu judgment please.

I saw an IG post today of a young woman inspiring people to say Y-E-S because you never know what may happen and you don't want to miss it!

In 2015 Shonda Rhimes wrote a book entitled, "Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person." It was a good book with great insights into how committing to say "Yes" got Shonda out of her comfort zone and opened doors for her.

Saying "Yes" and then showing up for whatever yes was said in response to is a great way to get one out of their comfort zone - especially for someone who has no problem saying, "No." Sometimes, "No" is easier because it may take less energy, require less responsibility, be less demanding... and may also buffer against any potential disapointments. And then, if you don't say "Yes," you probably can get away with not knowing what you may have missed out on, but then again, you may have dodged a bullet and avoided risk. Who knows? You won't because you said, No."

And that's okay.

Meanwhile, there are other people who say "Yes" to absolutely everything. They couldn't decline a request or invitation if they were suffering from a 104 degree fever and were walking in double crutches. The dark side of not being able to say "No," oftentimes leads people to utter and complete exhaustion; too many balls in the air and really only successfully stirring up what I call a tazmanian devil level of energetic activity with little to no actual productiveness. Then there are those who say yes with...Read More

Five Ways to Maintain Your Health & Peace Even in the Chaos of the Holiday Season

This past week I was supposed to speak to the New Orleans NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) to provide tips on how to maintain our health and peace in the chaos of the holiday season. A topic right up my alley, particularly as my latest book is “Seven Sundays to Sweet Inner Serenity: How to cultivate the calm even in the midst of the crazy chaos.”

I wanted to make sure that I addressed the issues that the audience wanted to hear, as opposed to imposing my own agenda or self-promotion, so I posted a few queries to my friends, my team at Infinite Health Integrative Medicine Center, and social media followers and they answered by suggesting the five questions I answer below.

But first, guess what happened.

The self-proclaimed Queen of “I Am Infinitely Healthy” (Hint: yours truly) got hit with a debilitating case of strep throat the morning of that talk. A ton of bricks might as well have dropped down on me from the sky, because (a) that’s what it felt like, and (b) I did not see that coming… at all. In fact, even as I write this, I am still recovering.

On a positive note, I have literally lost five pounds. On another positive note, I got to practice what I preach…self-care and self-love, even in the most inconvenient of times and here is how you can too.

<p...Read More

I was on a call this evening with a coaching client of mine who is a progressive and forward thinking medical doctor. He was in a bit of a flux because he finds himself between this cross-road of expanding his reach (i.e., a national scale audience) via media outlets (i.e., sensationalized daytime talk and radio shows) and honoring who he is, and one of the key components of his message (i.e., television, radio, and the news in particular increases stress levels, which in turn increases cortisol levels, and long story short, is hyper bad for your health and we should not participate.).

What is really interesting is that just a few weekends ago, I had an artist friend of mine express his concern with essentially the same conundrum.

His work is amazing, both a musician and an artist, he creates beautiful high vibrational channelled jewelry designs. In fact, I am awaiting my own custom design. When I asked why he was not promoting his work on the available social media outlets, FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram (he does have a few videos on YouTube), he replied, essentially, that he does not like to self-promote and that the people who want his work will find their way to him.

That's a beautiful 5D+ thought process, and I adore him for it. In fact, I believe he is absolutely correct, that is after all, how I discovered him. I was in a YouTube rabbit hole that landed me directly into his beautiful world.

If he is content to receive the wondering Alices of Wonderland then that is absolutely okay. At the same time, however, this is what Jeff Walker from "The Product Launch Formula" would refer to...Read More

Boss Babes Need "T" Too

If you listen to the radio and/or watch television at all, then you have probably heard various commercials for products and services designed to resolve “Low-T” (low testosterone) in men. Most of the advertisements advocating increasing male testosterone levels, at least those that I have heard, seem to zero in on being “virile, vigorous and potent.”[1]

While it is true that decreased levels in male testosterone (a natural occurrence for most males over 30), it is also well known, in the healthcare industry, that deficiencies in testosterone in men not only reduces the libido, but also leads to changes in “body fat distribution,...faster progression of osteoporosis, and frailty.”[2]

But did you know that women also may be prone to “low-T?”

CASE STUDY:

Molly (name changed) is a 30-year old female who presented with low libido, pale skin, weak muscle strength, anxiety, moodiness, random bouts of anger and irrational histrionics.

After just a couple of months of receiving bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), which included optimizing her testosterone levels, Molly experienced an improvement of her mood with a simultaneous reduction in her anxiety and depression, improved bone density, enhanced desire and pleasure.

Female Low –T does not seem to be a prominent issue discussed in mass media markets - I’ve never heard a radio or television advertisement for women needing to increase their testosterone levels – have you? But, medical studies, related to the effects of optimized testosterone in women, indicate significant improvements in “bone mineral density, libido, and quality of life...in testosterone-deficient women.”[3]

Healthy young women produce about 250 micrograms (20-30 times lower than male...Read More
